My Complete Wellness Day is our most extensive gift set. Along with everything in the Sauna Routine, it includes a gel face peel with 2.5% lactic acid and a 120 ml rich hand cream with shea butter and macadamia. A total of seven pieces – from bathrobe to hand care.

Important note on the face peel
A note we give everyone: the face peel with lactic acid does not belong directly before or in the sauna. It is a separate little weekly ritual that you plan for a quiet evening. Once or twice a week is perfectly sufficient. This keeps the gift set pleasant and does not overwhelm the skin.

Caring for the textiles in the gift set
To ensure the joy of the gift set lasts, here are the most important care instructions. Wash the bathrobe and hamam towel before first use. Wash the bathrobe at a maximum of 30 °C, do not bleach, do not tumble dry, and do not iron. Wash the hamam towel on a delicate cycle at no more than 30 °C, without fabric softener or bleach. Both air-dry quickly. With every wash, the cotton becomes softer.
The skincare products in the gift set are best stored at room temperature and protected from direct sunlight. This keeps everything fresh for a long time.

A sauna day with the set – step by step
To show how the individual pieces work together, we will describe a typical sauna day, just as we experience it every day with our guests at Meri Sauna. We will use the largest set as an example because it contains all the components.
Arrival and preparation
After changing, the first stop is the shower. This is where the shower gel comes into play. Afterward, the face is cleansed with the cleansing foam – this helps you start the first sauna session feeling fresh. Dry off well, as dry skin starts sweating faster in the sauna.
The first sauna session
The hamam towel is spread out on the sauna bench. At 180 cm long, you can lie completely on the towel – feet included. This prevents sweat from getting on the wood and allows you to lie comfortably. Eight to twelve minutes is sufficient for the beginning. If you feel uncomfortable, simply leave earlier.
Cooling down and resting
Afterward, head out into the fresh air, under a cold shower, or into the plunge pool. Then, slip into your bathrobe. Because the Barok is lightweight, it doesn't stick and dries quickly. In the relaxation room, lie down, drink something, and let your body calm down. Take at least as much time for the break as you did for the sauna session itself.
Second and third session
Most sauna-goers do two to three sessions. In between, the hamam towel can dry on a lounger – it is usually pleasant again by the time the next session rolls around. This is exactly where the advantage of lightweight cotton over thick terry cloth becomes apparent.
After the last session
After the final cool-down comes the care routine: gently cleanse your face one more time, let it cool down briefly, and then apply the face cream. Finally, treat your hands with the hand cream. Save the facial scrub for home – it is a separate ritual for a quiet evening during the week.
Material knowledge: Why we rely on lightweight cotton
Many people associate a high-quality bathrobe with thick, heavy terry cloth. That holds true for the sofa at home. In the sauna, things are different. A heavy robe gets soaked, becomes cold, and takes hours to dry. A lightweight robe made of flat-woven cotton absorbs moisture while remaining airy and dries significantly faster between sessions.
What is a hamam towel?
A hamam towel originates from the bathing culture of Turkish hamams. Instead of loops like in terry cloth, the cotton is woven flat. This makes the towel thinner and lighter, yet it still absorbs water well. It can be folded small, dries quickly, and can be used as a lounger towel, cape, beach towel, or a light blanket. Turkish cotton
The bathrobe and hamam towel from the Barok duo consist of 100% Turkish cotton and are woven in Denizli, a city with a long textile tradition. The cotton becomes softer with every wash. Initially, it may feel a bit firmer – this is normal and subsides after the first few washes.
Vegan care

Mistake 1: The wrong size

Every gift set in our shop has a small backstory. It didn't start with marketing ideas, but with observations from the Meri Sauna.
