How long should your sauna towel be? Which size fits for bathrobes and ponchos? And how do your textiles stay beautiful for a long time? Here you will find everything at a glance.
How big should your sauna towel be?
In the sauna you lie completely on the towel – from head to toe. That is why the length depends on your height. For the width, 80 to 100 cm is usually enough.

Tip: the dimensions of each towel are shown directly in the product name. Light hamam towels are also great as a second towel for drying off.
Bathrobe: the right size
A sauna bathrobe can fit loosely – that way it is easy to put on and take off even with damp skin. If you are between two sizes, go for the larger one. Here you will find the size charts for our bathrobes:
Bath poncho: which size fits?
A bath poncho should reach to about over your knees so that you can change comfortably underneath. The recommended height is shown for each model:

Washing & care
With the right care, your towels and bathrobes stay soft and absorbent for a long time. The exact care instructions are also on every product page and on the label.
Cotton hamam towels
- Wash before first use – this brings out the absorbency.
- Machine wash at 30 °C.
- Do not use fabric softener – it makes the fibres less absorbent.
- Ideally air dry.
- Pure cotton may shrink slightly in the first wash – that is normal.
Sauna towels & bathrobes
- Wash once before first wearing.
- Wash temperature as per label – wash light and dark colours separately.
- Do not use fabric softener.
- Let dry well after the sauna, do not leave damp in your bag.
- Cut off snagged threads, do not pull them.
