What's in the Single and Couple hammam towel sets?
Both sets combine our two best-selling hammam towels: the classic Ocean hammam towel at approx. 180 × 100 cm and the Ocean StayOn hammam towel at approx. 200 × 70 cm with a sewn-in lounger pocket. All towels are made of 100 % cotton and are flat-woven.

The calculation: when does which set save the most?
Individually, an Ocean costs €29.90 and a StayOn €44.90. This results in three typical cases:
- One person: Single set for €89.90 instead of €104.70 individually – you save €14.80.
- Two people, same colours: Couple set for €169.90 instead of €209.40 individually – you save €39.50.
- Two people, different colours: Two Single sets cost €179.80 together. That's €9.90 more than the Couple set, but each person can choose their own colours.
In short: the Couple set is the cheapest. Two Single sets are the more flexible solution if you want to keep your towels clearly apart.
Why this particular combination?
A sauna day needs two kinds of towels: one that stays on the lounger and one you dry yourself with and wrap up in.
- StayOn for the lounger: Pull the sewn-in pocket over the backrest of the sauna or sun lounger. That way the towel doesn't slip, even if you get up in between.
- Ocean for everything else: Cover on the sauna bench, drying off after cooling down, wrapping up in the relaxation area, as a beach towel or sarong at the beach. With two Oceans you always have a dry towel to swap.
In our experience at the Meri Sauna, a hammam towel spread out indoors is dry again after about 60 minutes. With two Oceans in rotation you can therefore get through a whole sauna day well.
Single hammam towel set: who is it for?
The Single set is the basic kit for one person. One Ocean lies under you in the sauna, you use the second one for drying off, and the StayOn stays on your lounger.

- You are looking for a gift for someone who enjoys the sauna.
Couple hammam towel set: who is it for?
The Couple set contains everything twice: four Oceans and two StayOns. That fully equips the two of you.
- You go to the sauna or thermal baths together.
- You want to reserve two loungers by the pool or on the beach on holiday.
- You need towels for guests, family or a holiday flat.
How to use the set on a sauna day
- Arrival: Pull the StayOn over the backrest of your relaxation lounger. Your spot is set up for the whole day.
- First session: Take an Ocean into the cabin as a cover so that you sit or lie completely on the towel.
- After cooling down: Dry off with the second Ocean and wrap yourself in it in the relaxation area.
- Break: Hang the cabin towel spread out over a lounger or a hook so that it dries before the next session.
- Further sessions: Use the two Oceans in rotation.
The set at the beach and on holiday
The combination also works outside the sauna: the StayOn stays on the sun lounger by the pool, one Ocean serves as a beach towel, the second as a sarong or for drying off after swimming. In the suitcase, the flat-woven towels take up much less space than thick bath towels.
When a set isn't worthwhile
To be honest, a set isn't the best choice for everyone:
- You don't use loungers: If you only sit on the bench in your sauna and don't use a relaxation lounger, you don't need the StayOn. Individual Ocean towels are enough then.
- You want a specific design: The set includes the Ocean. If you would like the patterned MAHINA hammam towel, for example, buy it individually.
- You only need one towel: For a single small gift, an individual towel or the Towel To Go in its gift box is more suitable.
Combining colours
In the set, you choose one colour for all Ocean towels (black, green, light blue or yellow) and one colour for the StayOn (green, turquoise, light blue, yellow, black, red or khaki).
- Tone on tone: Ocean in green, StayOn in green – calm and uniform.
- Contrast: Ocean in yellow, StayOn in black – you'll recognise your lounger immediately.
- For couples: If you want separate colours per person, take two Single sets.

Care
Wash all towels in the set at 30 °C without fabric softener and let them air dry. Wash once before first use. Because the towels are thin, all three towels of the Single set fit easily into one machine load, and they dry quickly on the drying rack after washing. Briefly smooth the fringes of the StayOn and the Ocean towels before hanging them up.
